形態特徵

• Annual herb 0.02-0.45 m tall, erect to decumbent or prostrate and rooting at base, unbranched below inflorescence or variously branched; stems solitary ± caespitose, 4-lined, with scattered pale glandular dots.
• Leaves sessile; lamina 0.2-1.8 cm long, 0.1-1 cm broad, usually ovate or ovate-triangular to oblong or elliptic, apex subacute to rounded, base cordate-amplexicaul to cuneate, chartaceous, sometimes glaucous beneath, with 1-3 basal main veins and 1-2 lateral veins but usually no visible reticulate venation, no marginal glands and ± numerous pale laminar glandular dots.
• Inflorescence 1-30-flowered, dichasial or ± monochasial, with or without axillary branches; flowers 4-8 mm in diam., ± plane, in bud cylindric-ellipsoid, ± obtuse; sepals 2-5.5 mm long, 0.5-2 mm broad, narrowly oblong or lanceolate to elliptic, acute to obtuse, entire, without marginal glands, with laminar pale dots to lines, erect in fruit; petals 1.7-5 mm long, 0.8-1.8 mm broad, elliptic or oblong, light yellow to orange, persistent, without glands; stamens not fascicled, persistent, 5-30; anthers yellow, with amber gland; ovary 1-locular, the (2-)3 styles 0.4-0.6 times as long (0.4-1 mm), free, spreading from base.
• Capsule 2.5-6 mm long, 1.3-2.8 mm broad, cylindric to globose, not vittate; seeds ca. 0.5 mm long, longitudinally ribbed with fine transverse striae, not carinate, without terminal appendage.

分布

• 台灣 : rare in the south? In open communities, wet (rice fields, marshes, ditches, etc.) or dry (grasslands, waste places), 0-1,900 m.
• 世界 : From Japan (S. Hokkaido to Kyushu), Korea (Cheju-do Is.) and southern China to Nepal, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand.
